Aramark Ireland is seeking a People Operations Manager to join the Aramark leadership team in Croke Park. This is a hand-on role in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, requiring a balance of quick thinking, problem solving, data-led decision making, and on-the-ground operational delivery in conjunction with the people operations team and operational managers in Croke Park.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on large-volume seasonal recruitment, workforce planning and scheduling, employee engagement, and leading the People Operations team on-site.
Working closely with operational leaders, this role will ensure the stadium is consistently staffed with talented, engaged colleagues who deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- People Strategy & Leadership
- Implement and lead the People Operations Strategy for Croke Park aligned with business growth and client expectations.
- Develop and lead a high-performing People Operations team.
- Workforce Planning & Resourcing
- Lead workforce planning & scheduling for the site.
- Oversee scheduling, rota planning, and deployment.
- Identify workforce gaps and implement solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Leverage HRSS systems e.g. Ubeya & SAP success factor systems to improve efficiency.
- Recruitment & Talent Management
- Lead high-volume recruitment for permanent, casual, and seasonal workforce in conjunction with People Operating team and hiring managers.
- Deliver an annual welcome back programme for returning seasonal colleagues.
- Build & maintain sustainable colleague pipelines to support major events and peak trading periods.
- Oversee onboarding and induction programmes to ensure a best-in-class colleague experience.
- Ensure clear career pathways and development frameworks are in place for all permanent and casual colleagues.HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Ensure full compliance with Irish employment legislation and Aramark policies, processes, procedures and guidelines.
- Co-ordinate with employee relations, to provide expert guidance and coaching for operational leaders regarding any ER issues that arise in their department.
- Performance, Engagement & Culture
- Support managers in driving a high-performance culture through effective performance management frameworks.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and employee satisfaction.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing across a large, diverse workforce.
- Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Use data and analytics to inform workforce planning, cost control, payroll and people operational decisions.
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and KPIs for senior leadership.
- Monitor workforce metrics (labour cost, turnover, absenteeism, productivity).
- People Operational Support
- Provide hands on people operations leadership during major events to ensure staffing, compliance, and colleague welfare.
- Ensure no colleagues commence employment unless Right to Work has been demonstrated and ensure all colleagues maintain a Right to Work at all times.
- Ensure resourcing models flex in line with event demand and operational requirements.
- Ensure colleagues are paid on time and accurately.
- Ensure colleagues are treated fairly, professionally and in line with our value to ensure retention.
- Provide hands on People Operations Leadership support as and when required to other areas of the Aramark Food Service business for example Ryder Cup Adare September 2027.
- Brand Standards & Presentation
- Ownership of employee presentation standards across the stadium, ensuring all team members consistently represent the venue in a professional and positive manner.
- Develop, implement and enforce dress code, uniform and grooming standards in line with organisational policies and brand expectations.
Qualifications
- Operations management within large scale/volume hospitality, catering, events or other related service sectors.
- Experience working with a high-volume seasonal workforce.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders in a commercially driven environment.
- Highly analytical with strong data interpretation and reporting capability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operational business.
Required Skills
- Experience within stadiums, arenas, venues or similar large-scale event environments.
- Experience with workforce systems (e.g., SAP Success
- Factors, Ubeya, or equivalent).CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience leading multi-functional operational teams (resourcing, payroll, L&D).
