Remote Accountant

Ready Contractors, Inc., a respected leader in the construction industry, has been dedicated to providing quality workmanship and reliable service to the eastern North Carolina community since 1969. We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Remote Accountant to join our team.

This is a full-time, fully remote position, offering the opportunity to manage our company's financial health from your own dedicated workspace. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing crucial insights to support our continued growth and success.

Responsibilities

• As a Remote Accountant, your key duties will include: Managing all aspects of the general ledger, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Preparing and analysing timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conducting bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Processing payroll and ensuring compliance with relevant US tax regulations.
• Performing detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Overseeing project-based accounting and job costing to track profitability.
• Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial standards, and US tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience within the construction industry is highly advantageous.

What We Offer

A competitive annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $95,000 USD, commensurate with experience. The flexibility and convenience of a fully remote position.
