Accounting Manager

The Keller Group is partnering with a growing, Phoenix-based technology company in their search for an Accounting Manager. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will oversee the daily accounting function while leading a small team of accounting professionals.

They are open to an experienced Senior Accountant with strong technical skills and leadership potential who is ready to grow into an Accounting Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger and financial reporting.
• Supervise, mentor and develop accounting staff while assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and supporting schedules.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations and financial variance analyses.
• Coordinate U.S. and international sales tax filings and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules and accounting related to acquisitions and capital investments.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and support SOX compliance and internal control initiatives.
• Develop, implement and enhance accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required;
• CPA preferred.7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• International accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems, particularly NetSuite and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365, is highly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Experience working within a private equity-backed organization is a plus.
