Product Owner

Permanent | Full time| Hybrid (1 day/week, Sydney Office)As a Product Owner, you’ll own outcomes across EasyCars and WorkshopMate, working hands-on with engineering, design, customer success and customers to deliver changes that drive real commercial impact.

Reporting to our Head of Product – Recurring Revenue, you’ll take ownership of products with strong market traction and an engaged customer base, with a clear mandate to make them faster, simpler and more valuable.

The Products:

EasyCars is the dealer management system of choice for independent used car dealers across Australia, bringing inventory, compliance, finance and sales into one place.

WorkshopMate powers mechanical workshops nationwide, managing bookings, job cards, parts, invoicing and customer communication end-to-end.

Together, these products sit at the heart of how SME automotive businesses operate. They’re profitable, growing, and backed by Pickles.

In this role you will be responsible for

• Own the end-to-end roadmap across both products (discovery, prioritisation, delivery and measurement)
• Get close to customers — site visits, ride-alongs and support insights to inform decisions (no “product from a desk”)
• Lead discovery and validation through interviews, prototypes, data and win/loss analysis
• Write clear, concise requirements and partner closely with engineering through delivery
• Define and track product metrics (activation, retention, adoption, NPS, ARPU) to guide decisions
• Partner with sales and customer teams on pricing, packaging, bundles and upsell opportunities
• Work with marketing to ensure messaging and GTM campaigns land effectively in market
• Embed AI-driven workflows into the core product experience (not just a feature add-on)
• Make tough prioritisation calls and back them with data

ABOUT YOU

• To be successful in this role, you will have:2+ years’ experience in product management, including 3+ years in B2B SaaSProven track record of delivering product that drives commercial outcomes (not just shipping features)
• Strong commercial instinct — you understand ARPU, churn, CAC and how product decisions impact performance
• Confident working with data, including SQLClear, concise communicator — you can write for both technical and commercial audiences
• Deep customer focus — comfortable engaging directly with SME operators and translating insights into product decisions
• Pragmatic and delivery-focused, with a bias for action and low ego
• Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor, making decisions and driving outcomes autonomously
• Nice to have:
• Experience in automotive, workshops/trades or adjacent SME verticals
• Background in DMS, ERP, field service or vertical SaaS platforms
• Experience across multiple products or platform environments
• Exposure to AI/ML in production (e.g. LLM workflows, agents, structured data extraction)
• Experience in scale-up or PE-backed environments with strong commercial discipline
