D365 Finance & Operations Business Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Business Analyst to act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role will focus on understanding operational and financial requirements, improving business processes, supporting ERP enhancements, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable system solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with practical knowledge of finance processes and Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
• Configure and support Dynamics 365 Finance modules to align with organizational objectives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
• Analyze business and financial data to support operational decision-making.
• Create and execute test plans, test scripts, and validation scenarios for system changes.
• Manage defects, troubleshoot issues, and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate resolution activities.
• Deliver end-user training and maintain functional documentation.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis to support business performance.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of solutions.
• Utilize Azure DevOps or similar tools to track requirements, enhancements, and project activities.
• Lead business analysis activities on assigned projects and system initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Strong understanding of core finance processes including:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Financial Reporting
• Period-End Close
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience designing and executing testing strategies and managing defects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps or comparable project management tools.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.

Preferred Experience

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
• Experience with tax compliance solutions and integrations.
• Background in accounting or financial operations.
• ERP implementation, upgrade, or transformation project experience.
• Knowledge of compliance, governance, and financial controls.
