We're exclusively partnering with an established and expanding manufacturing organisation that supplies critical products into highly regulated industries.

They're looking for an experienced IT Manager to take full ownership of the site's technology function, leading both the day-to-day operation and the future direction of IT.This is a genuine opportunity to become the technology leader within the business, working closely with senior management while remaining hands-on across infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems and user support.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for the complete IT operation across the site.

You'll work closely with department heads, third-party suppliers and Group IT colleagues to ensure technology supports production, operational efficiency and future business growth.

This is a broad role where no two days are the same.

One day you may be delivering infrastructure improvements or strengthening cybersecurity, while the next you'll be supporting business systems, driving reporting improvements or planning future technology investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the entire IT function
• Manage servers, infrastructure, networking and cloud services
• Maintain Microsoft Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments
• Ensure business-critical systems remain secure, available and resilient
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including endpoint protection, firewalls and vulnerability management
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Support ERP, manufacturing and production systems
• Manage software licensing, vendors and external IT partners
• Deliver IT projects from planning through to implementation
• Improve reporting, data quality and business intelligence capability
• Provide hands-on technical support when required
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency
• Work collaboratively with Group IT teams to align with wider technology strategy

• Essential Experience
• Experience leading an IT function or operating as a senior IT professional
• Strong Microsoft infrastructure knowledge
• Windows Server
• Active Directory
• Microsoft 365Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi)
• Virtualisation
• Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Cyber Security
• Vendor Management
• IT Project Delivery
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting business-critical applications

• Power BI or Business Intelligence platforms

• ERP or Manufacturing Systems
• Azure or Cloud Infrastructure
• Experience within manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare or another regulated environment
