Senior Revenue Accountant (Contract)About the Opportunity

Seattle Search Group is partnering with a confidential client to identify an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant for a contract opportunity.

This role will support the accounting team with revenue recognition, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, experience applying ASC 606, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606.
• Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition.
• Prepare monthly revenue journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile deferred revenue and related balance sheet accounts.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting.
• Analyze revenue transactions and investigate variances.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation.
• Support process improvements and special accounting projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Experience with SaaS, software, or subscription-based revenue models.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting.
