Operations Manager (Based in Shanghai)

Petracarbon is in the business of providing Flange Management and in situ machining services to the downstream oil and gas industry.

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage the entire Oil & Gas Services Division in Shanghai, China. This role is responsible for the division’s overall business growth, sales performance, operational excellence, profitability, quality standards, and resource management.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across sales, workshop operations, and field service activities, ensuring the division achieves its commercial and operational objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities·        Overall responsibility for the management, growth, and performance of the Oil & Gas Services (OGS) Division in Shanghai, China.·        Provide leadership, direction, and vision to the division by supporting Management and staff in the development and execution of long-term strategic plans and annual business objectives.·        Monitor, evaluate, and report on business performance against established goals and key performance indicators.·        Assume full accountability for the division's Profit & Loss (P&L), including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability management.·        Drive business growth and achieve company objectives through effective planning, sales target setting, performance analysis, and market forecasting.·        Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify emerging trends, new business opportunities, and areas for expansion within the oil and gas sector.·        Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing key customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.·        Coordinate with technical and operational teams to ensure timely and effective support, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction.·        Lead, manage, mentor, and develop team members across the Sales Team, Workshop Staff, and On-site Technicians to achieve operational and commercial excellence.·        Oversee the planning, allocation, and deployment of manpower, equipment, tools, and resources for workshop and field service operations.·        Provide leadership and support to the technical service team in the successful execution of on-site field projects and customer assignments.·        Manage tools, equipment, machinery, inventory, and maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness and asset reliability.·        Collaborate closely with suppliers, business partners, and Petracarbon Singapore to coordinate equipment rentals, purchases, resource sharing, and technical support.·        Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable industry regulations.·        Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements·        Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.·        Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry,·        Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.·        A track record of leading projects, mentoring peers and collaborating with technical and business partners.·        Proactive and possess positive work attitude.·        Strong management skills and leadership qualities.·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.·        Ability to coordinate between different teams and partners, making the right trade-offs in dealing with complexity and conflicting priorities.·        Preferably bilingual in Chinese (speak, read and write) to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients.·        Willing to work in Shanghai, China
