Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Accounts Manager for a Marine Industry client based in Abu Dhabi. The role holds full ownership of the accounting function, overseeing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cashier teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial controls across the organization.

Fluency in Arabic is mandatory given the nature of client and vendor interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end accounting function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other applicable regulatory filings.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for the organization.
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cashier team members.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Review and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting policies.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support business decision-making.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and government entities in Arabic and English as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial capacity.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Proven experience managing a team and overseeing multiple accounting functions.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
