Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support the procurement activities for a high-rise residential construction project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of construction materials and services while maintaining quality, cost, and project schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for high-rise residential projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Planning, QA/QC, Engineering, and Store teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and resolve supply-related issues.
• Ensure procured materials comply with project specifications, approved material submittals, and client requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and procurement tracking reports.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project timelines.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years on high-rise residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, MEP items, finishing materials, and subcontract procurement.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (SAP, Oracle, or similar is an advantage).
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.

Preferred

GCC/UAE construction project experience and familiarity with local suppliers and procurement practices.
