About toot

toot is a crowdlending platform operating under SAMA's regulatory framework in Saudi Arabia. We connect retail investors with SME borrowers — investors deposit funds and toot handles everything: allocation, diversification, and risk. We are in the final stages before launch.

The Role

The product is built. Now it needs to be owned.

We need someone who can step in, get deep into the details with the engineering team, and make sure everything we built works exactly as it should — before a single user touches it. You will act as the founder's right hand on the product side: validating, questioning, verifying, and signing off.

This is not a planning role. This is an execution and quality role at a critical moment.

What You Will Do

• Take full ownership of pre-launch testing across our mobile app (investor-facing) and web app (borrower-facing)
• Work directly with the development team to validate that what was built matches what was designed and required
• Build and execute test plans, test cases, and regression cycles from scratch
• Identify bugs, inconsistencies, edge cases, and UX gaps — document them clearly and track them to resolution
• Ensure all flows — especially onboarding, KYC, and compliance-sensitive journeys — are airtight
• Act as the bridge between the founder and the engineering team, communicating priorities and blockers clearly
• Flag anything that could be a risk before launch — technical, functional, or regulatory
• Maintain and refine the product backlog as issues are discovered and resolved

Skills

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in a Product Owner, QA Lead, or similar role in a FinTech or regulated tech environment
• Strong QA skills — test planning, bug tracking, and attention to detail
• Someone who is comfortable getting into the weeds with a development team and asking hard questions
• Familiarity with two-sided platforms or marketplace products is a plus
• Understanding of compliance-sensitive flows — KYC, onboarding, financial transactions
• Knowledge of SAMA's regulatory landscape or KSA FinTech is a strong advantage
• Self-sufficient — you won't be micromanaged, you will be trusted
• Fluent in English — Arabic is a plus
