Senior Software Engineer Intern

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Software Engineer Intern role based in Jeddah. The intern will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of back-end systems that support retail operations and business management solutions.

Daily responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, implementing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance in collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. The intern will assist in integrating software components, participating in code reviews, and documenting technical solutions.

The role also involves researching and evaluating new technologies, supporting deployment activities, and ensuring that software solutions align with business requirements and user needs.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with exposure to server-side frameworks and database technologies.
• Hands-on Programming experience using at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and familiarity with development tools.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and modular code organization.
• Ability to analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and debug complex issues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of retail or business process management systems is an advantage.
