Freelance Short-Form Content Strategist & Reels Editor

Arabian Wanderers is a UAE-based adventure travel company that has organized more than 500 trips for over 6,000 guests. Our Instagram community has grown to more than 124,000 followers, and we’re looking for an experienced Short-Form Content Strategist and Reels Editor to help us create highly engaging and shareable travel content.

This is not a standard video-editing role. We are looking for someone who understands why short-form content performs, from concepts and opening hooks to storytelling, pacing, retention, share-ability, and continuous performance improvement.

Scope of workResearch high-performing travel, adventure, and lifestyle content formats and trends.

Develop original Reel concepts and strong opening hooks.

Create a monthly Reel schedule in coordination with our team.

Provide filming briefs, shot lists, and creative direction before trips and shoots.

Review available footage and identify the strongest stories and content opportunities.

Edit approximately 12–20 Reels per month.

Select suitable audio, on-screen text, captions, and covers.

Review content performance and apply the findings to improve future Reels.

Potentially attend selected Arabian Wanderers trips and content shoots in the UAE.

Ideal profile

Proven experience conceptualizing and editing high-performing organic Instagram Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts.A portfolio containing multiple organic videos that have generated more than one million views.

Strong understanding of hooks, retention, storytelling, and shareability.

Hands-on editing capabilities, not strategy alone.

Experience with travel, tourism, hospitality, lifestyle, or adventure content is highly preferred.

Ability to turn raw, user-generated, and professionally filmed footage into compelling stories.

Strong communication skills, reliability, and consistent turnaround times.UAE-based candidates are preferred, but exceptional international candidates will also be considered.

Engagement detailsFreelance contract.

Initial three-month collaboration, with the potential to continue longer term.

Approximately 12–20 Reels per month.

Remote work, with the potential to attend selected trips and shoots in the UAE.Compensation based on experience, portfolio, proposed scope, and monthly volume.

Performance incentives may be offered for exceptional organic results.
