Front Desk Receptionist

We are currently seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join our team. This position requires flexibility and the ability to travel between our Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens locations based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Register new patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Collect copayments and maintain accurate payment records.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations when needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Coordinate communication between patients, therapists, physicians, and insurance companies.
• Scan, upload, and organize medical documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Float between Theradynamics clinic locations in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens as operational needs require.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical front desk or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Must be willing and able to travel between Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens clinic locations as needed.
