Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Technician role is based in New York, NY. The technician will install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Daily tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves interacting with customers, explaining recommended services, documenting completed work, and coordinating with team members to complete jobs efficiently. Technicians are expected to respond to service calls, manage tools and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing HVAC system issues and resolving problems efficiently.
• Candidates should possess Plumbing skills relevant to HVAC installations, condensate drainage, and related piping work.
• Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to perform inspections, tune-ups, filter changes, and system checks.
• Candidates should possess EPA certification or equivalent credentials for handling refrigerants in compliance with regulations.
• Candidates should possess Electricity skills, including basic electrical wiring, reading schematics, and safely working with HVAC electrical components.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include prior HVAC field experience, familiarity with local building codes, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift and move equipment as required.
• Relevant technical training or completion of an HVAC trade program, along with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, is preferred.
