Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.

Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, troubleshooting system issues, and completing accurate service documentation. The technician will interact directly with clients to explain findings, recommend solutions, and ensure systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Collaboration with the service team, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of work orders are essential parts of this position.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing HVAC system issues and identifying effective solutions.
• Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair abilities, including hands-on experience with HVAC equipment and system components.
• Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills for performing scheduled inspections, tune-ups, and system optimization.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of EPA regulations and hold relevant EPA certification for handling refrigerants safely.
• Candidates should possess a commitment to Customer Satisfaction, including clear communication, professionalism, and service-oriented behavior.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience as an HVAC service technician in commercial or industrial settings is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders; strong attention to detail and safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites within the New York City metropolitan area.
