Receptionist at Doggy Daycare (Sunshine Dogs Club)

Sunshine Dogs Club is a boutique daycare and grooming studio designed exclusively for small dogs under 30 lbs. We combine attentive care with a warm, hospitality-focused experience for dogs and their parents.

About the Role

We are looking for a warm, organized, and hospitality-driven receptionist to be the first person pet parents see when they walk through our doors. This is a customer-facing role centered on communication, scheduling, client records, and front-desk operations. You will spend much of the day working on a computer, speaking with pet parents, and helping the studio run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Hospitality

• Greet pet parents and their dogs warmly at drop-off and pick-up.
• Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and with care.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and messages in a timely and friendly manner.
• Open and close the shop at the start and end of the day.

Scheduling & Dog Profiles

• Manage daily daycare and grooming appointment schedules.
• Maintain accurate client and dog records, including required health and care information.
• Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up on bookings as needed.
• Use our software system to manage reservations and client records (training will be provided).

Pet Parent Communication

• Communicate routine updates and important care information to pet parents in coordination with the care team.
• Respond to inquiries about our services, packages, and pricing.

Client Guidance & Administrative Support

• Help prospective and current clients understand our daycare and grooming services.
• Recommend appropriate services or options based on each client’s needs.
• Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a receptionist, customer service, or hospitality role.
• Prior experience and comfort with dogs.
• Someone who is friendly and service-minded with a natural ability to make pets and their parents feel welcome.
• Comfortable working on a computer for extended periods.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Clear, warm, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, especially during drop-off and pick-up rush hours.

Schedule

• 12:15 PM to 7:15 PM, 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)

• Mission Bay: 1200 4th St, Suite F, San Francisco, CA
• Nine-minute walk from Caltrain San Francisco station
• Convenient to Muni N and T lines

Compensation & Benefits

• $20.50 to $24.00/hour, based on experience
