Freelance UI/UX Designer Needed (Web & Mobile)

Role Description This is a contract, on-site Freelance UI/UX Designer role based in San Francisco, CA. The designer will be responsible for creating intuitive, visually engaging interfaces for web and mobile products, from initial sketches and wireframes through high-fidelity mockups.

Day-to-day tasks include conducting stakeholder and user discussions, translating requirements into user flows, defining interaction patterns, and building interactive prototypes for testing. The role involves collaborating with product managers, engineers, and data specialists to ensure designs are user-centered, accessible, and aligned with business and technical constraints.

Responsibilities also include preparing design assets for development handoff, iterating based on feedback and usability findings, and maintaining design consistency across platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong user experience design skills, including User Experience Design (UED), user flows, and interaction design for web and mobile interfaces.
• Proficiency in Visual Design and Mockups, with the ability to create clean, modern, and consistent UI components and layouts.
• Experience with Prototyping tools and methods to build interactive prototypes for stakeholder review and usability testing.
• Foundational understanding of Front-End Development concepts to ensure design feasibility and smooth collaboration with engineering teams.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
• Demonstrated portfolio showcasing web and mobile UI/UX work, including complex or data-rich interfaces.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage project timelines as a freelance contractor.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility best practices, and usability principles; experience in data or analytics products is a plus.
