Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety regulations
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, process payments seamlessly, and issue receipts using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support kitchen staff by bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Provide exceptional guest service by addressing questions about menu items, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
• Proven ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash responsibly
• Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Knowledge of the food industry trends and a passion for hospitality that drives memorable guest experiences
