Wayfare Tavern is seeking an experienced, results-driven Restaurant Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a seasoned hospitality professional with General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience who thrives in high-volume, service-focused environments and is passionate about developing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Operations Manager plays a key role in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, supporting service leadership, and maintaining the standards that define Wayfare Tavern. The ideal candidate brings strong operational knowledge, a calm and confident leadership style, and the ability to lead service while mentoring and motivating others.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily restaurant operations with a strong presence on the floor

Support and develop management and service teams through hiring, training, and ongoing coaching

Foster excellent guest relations and handle guest concerns with professionalism and care

Ensure opening and closing duties are completed according to company standards

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of all front-of-house areas

Address maintenance needs and ensure operational issues are resolved promptly

Manage labor and controllable costs to meet financial goals

Oversee staffing and training for designated service departments

Ensure compliance with HR policies and support a positive, respectful, and motivating work environment

Utilize and maintain operational systems including OpenTable, POS systems, Google Docs, and related tools

Qualifications

Required

Prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience

Experience in top-rated or high-end restaurants preferred

Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and floor leadership

Proven ability to lead under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication, organizational, and guest-relations skills

Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality excellence

Pay: $63,969.66 - $77,038.73 per year
