Tea Barista (Weekends)

Greetings! We are a specialty tea shop and sober bar located in Andersonville Chicago. We offer over 100 varies of loose leaf tea and tea drinks (iced, hot, tea latte, boba etc). We have a busy summer schedule and are looking to add on additional staff.

The Part Time position is open to anyone 18+ years old. This position is currently for 1-2 evening shifts per week ( 2:30 pm - 10 pm or 4 pm - 10 pm). Pay starts at $15/hr + $6. (avg) / hour in credit card tips + cash tips. We are looking for an individual to start training immediately.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help customers order
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. ask if the customer would like their tea hot, iced, as a tea latte or made into a boba etc.)
• Prepare beverages following recipes
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area clean + basic cleaning duties
• Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Skills

• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Basic math skills
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
• Excellent communication skills
• ServSafe of Food handler certificate
• Ability to lift up to 60lbs (I.e. a sugar bag)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
