• Pay : 52.79$/hr.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health Info Coder II to join a leading healthcare organization. This role is primarily remote; however, candidates must be available to attend onsite training in Los Angeles for the first 2–4 weeks. Equipment will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with professional physician coding, medical billing, documentation review, and revenue cycle processes while maintaining compliance with industry coding standards and payer regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Perform professional fee coding for physician clinic services.
• Validate clinical documentation and ensure coding accuracy.
• Support charge capture and coding compliance initiatives.
• Analyze claims and resolve coding-related denials.
• Review EHR documentation for coding validation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare, commercial payer, AHIMA, and AAPC guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers and billing teams to improve coding accuracy and reimbursement.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while adhering to coding regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical coding, billing, and abstracting.
• Current CCS, CPC, or CHONC certification.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with physician/professional fee coding.
• Knowledge of physician clinic revenue cycle processes.
• Experience working in a multi-specialty healthcare environment.
• Ability to interpret medical documentation and validate coding accuracy.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
• Strong understanding of coding compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Experience with EHR systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Important Requirement

Candidates must be local to the Los Angeles area and available to attend mandatory onsite training for the first 2–4 weeks. No exceptions.
