Teacher Partner

New Heights Charter School is looking for a Teaching Partner for the 2026-27 school year. Teaching Partners are an essential member of our school community. The job responsibilities include: supporting small groups of students in math, reading or writing, working closely with teachers, and supporting students in afterschool intervention.

This job is designed for someone who likes to work directly with students and wants to refine their teaching craft in a collaborative community of learners.

A special perk of this job is that staff who have worked as a Teaching Partner at New Heights Charter are eligible to apply to our Residency Program with Mount St. Mary's University and earn a California Teaching Credential for FREE while working with a teacher mentor on our campus.

The job requires staff to

• Actively maintain respectful, open communication with students, parents, teachers, and other staff members.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to improve teaching practice on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in professional development with colleagues.

Qualifications

Experience working with students or teachers in support of learning. Two-four years of college or equivalent subject matter competence. Preferred: BA/BS and Bilingual Spanish/English.

Compensation

22$/hour
