As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our Purchasing & Inventory team and play a key role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time, at the right cost.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Purchasing & Inventory, you will be responsible for leading purchasing activities across your assigned product categories, ensuring optimal stock availability while delivering commercial value for the business.

Working closely with Category Management, Inventory, Logistics, Sales and Finance teams, you will develop procurement strategies, manage supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost, efficiency and service levels.

You will play a pivotal role in forecasting demand, negotiating commercial agreements, managing supplier relationships and supporting the successful introduction of new products into the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that support business growth and inventory objectives.
• Analyse sales trends, demand forecasts and stock levels to ensure product availability while optimising inventory investment.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, payment terms, rebates, lead times and other commercial agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance, driving improvements in quality, delivery and service standards.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and prepare regular reports on procurement performance and commercial achievements.
• Collaborate closely with Inventory, Logistics and Category Management teams to ensure effective demand planning and product availability.
• Support new product introductions by coordinating procurement activities with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Monitor market trends, raw material costs and currency movements to minimise commercial risk and maximise value.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to strengthen the supply base.
• Visit suppliers and attend international trade exhibitions to build relationships, evaluate capabilities and identify new product opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with IT to enhance procurement systems, reporting and business processes.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Purchasing Officers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative working environment.

About You

You are an experienced procurement professional with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate effectively and make data-driven decisions. You enjoy working collaboratively across multiple departments and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business.

You will bring:A minimum of 10 years' experience in strategic procurement or purchasing within a commercial environment.

Strong experience in supplier negotiation, sourcing, demand planning and inventory management.

Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.

Experience working within a multinational organisation, preferably in the UAE.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.A proactive, adaptable and results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar procurement platforms.

Professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS would be advantageous.A valid UAE driving license would be an advantage.
