Elliott’s Café, the newest addition to our Food & Beverage offerings in the Grand Hyatt Seattle, presents a relaxed and refined start to the day. Designed for ease and approachability, this causal breakfast spot offers an effortless morning meal with simple, thoughtfully crafted favorites for our guests.

Whether grabbing a quick bite before the day begins, or lingering over coffee in the lobby, Elliott’s Café delivers a welcoming, understated breakfast experience for our guests in the heart of downtown Seattle.

Our Barista will create an exceptional guest experience through attentive service and thoughtfully prepared food and beverage offerings. This colleague with deliver quick, high-quality dining options while fostering a welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels cared for. The Barista will maintain a clean, inviting environment, and contribute to an experience that encourages guests to relax, connect, and linger.

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.58/hour to $23.03/hour. The starting rate is $22.58/hour. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who have remained in the Barista position with Hyatt for four years or more, which is currently offered at $23.03/hour.

• For orders where 18% service charge is applied, 100% is retained by Barista. Barista’s may earn additional compensation through gratuities added at the guest’s discretion.

Qualifications

• True desire to satisfy the needs of others
• Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred, especially in the Barista role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while standing for the duration of the shift
• Ability to lift/push/pull a moderate amount of weight
• Refined communication skills
• Understanding of food safety standards
• Must have Food Handler’s Card & Alcohol Service Permit (MAST)
• Must be available to work the morning shift: 05:30a – 01:00p
• Scheduling flexibility to include weekends and holidays required
