Mandala Scrubs makes scrubs healthcare workers actually want to wear without the premium price tag the category has trained them to accept. Stop overpaying for scrubs. That's the whole idea, and it's why we exist: the same quality fabric, fit, and color obsession as the expensive brands, at a price that makes sense for people who need a closet full of them.

We're a fast-growing DTC brand with a community of over 1,500,000 nurses, techs, vet med staff, and students who show up for every color drop like it's a sneaker release. They talk to us constantly, and we listen– about fit, about color, about the twelve-hour shifts our product has to survive. It's rare to build for an audience this engaged, and this vocal.

The Role

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own Mandala's organic presence on TikTok and Instagram end-to-end: strategy, content, publishing, community, and performance.

This is a builder role, not a maintainer role. You'll define what each channel is for, what winning looks like, and what we make to get there, then you will go make a lot of it yourself. You are equal parts strategist and creator: you can write the brief, hold the camera, cut the edit, and read the analytics to decide what we do differently.

You'll report to the Head of Growth and work closely with our founder, our influencer and community manager, and our customer support team to escalate concerns as needed.

What You'll Do

Own the Channels

• Own organic strategy for TikTok and Instagram– the role each channel plays, who it's reaching, what it's measured on, and how often we post.
• Audit where we are today and come back with a data-backed POV on what to keep, what to evolve, and where we should be showing up that we aren't yet.
• Build and run the content calendar across color launches, product drops, campaigns, community moments, and whatever the internet decides is happening this week.
• Be our in-house authority on platform behavior– algorithm shifts, format changes, emerging surfaces. You use these apps daily and you can spot a format before it peaks.

Make the Content

• Concept, shoot, edit, and publish a meaningful share of our content yourself. You're the creator, not just the director.
• Build recurring formats and series that give people a reason to follow and come back.
• Capture real-time content of new colorways and styles at our quarterly photoshoots.
• Be comfortable on camera and comfortable pointing the camera at other people.

Creators, UGC & Influencers

• Partner with our influencer and community manager to source and brief creators through ShopMy. Bonus points if you know the platform, have run briefs through it, and know how to get usable content back on time.
• Turn creator and UGC output into a real content engine: what we brief, how we route it, where it runs (organic, paid, PDP, email).
• Bring a social-first POV to which creators are actually credible with healthcare workers, and what we should be asking them to make.
• Partner with our Growth team on whitelisting and amplifying top organic content through paid.

Community

• Own day-to-day community management across both channels: comments, DMs, mentions.
• Surface sentiment, product feedback, and CX issues back to the right teams.
• Find and celebrate our community publicly.

Performance

• Own organic KPIs: reach, engagement rate, saves/shares, follower growth, and social-attributed revenue.
• Report weekly and monthly with clear insight, not a screenshot of a dashboard. What worked, what didn't, what we're doing about it.
• Run structured tests on format, hook, cadence, and messaging, and act on the results.What You Bring
• 3+ years in social media and content, with a significant portion focused on TikTok and Instagram for a consumer brand.
• A portfolio of content you personally made, plus the numbers behind it: follower growth, breakout videos, revenue driven. We want to see the work and hear the thinking.
• Hands-on production skills: you can shoot on an iPhone and edit in CapCut/Adobe to a high bar without a production team.
• Real experience briefing and managing creators through ShopMy (or a very close equivalent, but ShopMy is what we run on).
• Sharp copywriting and a distinct point of view on what's funny, what's true, and what will land.
• Comfort with analytics: you can tie content decisions to business outcomes, not just vanity metrics.
• Self-directed. You'll manage your own shoot schedule, calendar, and reporting without hand-holding.

Bonus Points

• You know nursing and healthcare. You've worked in it, lived with someone in it, or built for that audience before. You know what a 12-hour shift actually feels like and why nobody wants a scrub top with a scratchy tag.
• Apparel or DTC e-commerce background.
• Experience growing an account past 100K.
• Experience with Airtable.

Details

• Location: Austin, TX — remote, but occasional in-person meetings with Growth team
• Reports to: Head of Growth
• Travel: 3-4x/year for photoshoots in NYC
