EXECUTIVE & PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO OWNER (GROWTH INTO CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT)

Must live within approximately 30 minutes of central Austin. This role involves travel to jobsites on short notice, sometimes unplanned, so proximity is essential. Please do not apply if your commute exceeds this.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly reliable, proactive Executive & Personal Assistant to support the owner of a growing construction company. This is a high-trust, fast-paced role where no two days are the same.

This position will begin as direct support to the owner with a mix of business and occasional personal tasks, with the goal of transitioning into jobsite coordination and construction project management as the company continues to grow. Training will be provided. Prior construction experience is not required, but candidates must be comfortable working in a construction environment and willing to learn.

The ideal candidate is extremely organized, conscientious, and proactive — someone who keeps track of every moving piece, follows through without needing to be reminded, and communicates clearly with everyone involved. These qualities matter far more to us than construction experience, which we are happy to teach.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the owner, designers, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure clear, timely communication and follow-through
• Manage scheduling, appointments, and daily logistics
• Coordinate with clients, designers, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Run business and occasional personal errands
• Assist with ordering materials and tracking deliveries
• Track action items and ensure commitments from all parties are completed on time
• Support administrative tasks and document management
• Attend meetings or jobsites on behalf of the owner when needed
• Help organize projects, timelines, and priorities
• Assist with household logistics when necessary (appointments, pickups, etc.)
• Provide general problem-solving support to keep operations running smoothly

Growth Opportunity

Over time, this role is expected to evolve into jobsite coordination and construction project management, with the personal-support component phasing out. The right candidate will gain hands-on experience in construction project management and business operations.

Requirements

• Must live within approximately 30 minutes of central Austin
• Highly dependable, trustworthy, and discreet
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-changing environment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Comfortable driving a company vehicle
• Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and partners
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be willing to take a personality test

Construction experience is NOT required.

• Starting pay: $1,000 per week
