We are seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our hygiene department. This role is focused on assisting a hygienist managing a double-column schedule and supporting the doctor during hygiene exams. Key Responsibilities

Hygiene Support

• Assist the hygienist in a double-column schedule to ensure efficient patient flow
• Prepare treatment rooms for hygiene procedures
• Seat patients, review medical histories, and take vital signs as needed
• Provide chairside assistance during hygiene procedures when necessary
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed

Doctor Exam Assistance

• Assist the doctor during hygiene exams
• Chart findings and update patient records accurately
• Ensure smooth handoffs between hygienist and doctor

Clinical & Sterilization Duties

• Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols
• Clean, disinfect, and prepare operatories between patients
• Manage instruments and ensure proper sterilization cycles
• Stock and organize clinical supplies

Compliance & Patient Care

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
• Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines
• Ensure a safe and clean clinical environment
• Provide a positive, professional patient experience

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with hygienists, doctors, and front office staff
• Assist with maintaining schedule efficiency and minimizing downtime
• Support overall office operations as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (state required)
• Current CPR certification
• Experience assisting in a fast-paced dental environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and stay efficient in a double-column setting
