Wok Cook/Kitchen Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate experienced Wok Cook to join our kitchen team. At least 1 year wok experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a kitchen setting from previous kitchen experience. This role involves cooking/packing meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

The Cook/Manager will play a crucial role in meal preparation and side duties, working collaboratively within the kitchen to deliver high-quality dishes. Will also have experience in supervising staff, must be bilingual w/spanish language background.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Sanitation processes are detailed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and efficient kitchen operations.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Help owner with food cost, ordering.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift. Ensure staff is aware of inventory when low.
• Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional food service to guests.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer satisfaction.
• Must have supervising experience, will not only cook on staff off days.
