Job Overview

Seeking a proactive, dependable, and highly organized Household Manager/Personal Assistant to support a busy household and help streamline day-to-day life. Responsibilities include managing household organization systems, coordinating schedules and errands, assisting with routine tasks, and helping ensure daily life runs smoothly and efficiently.

This role requires strong communication and time-management skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative with minimal direction. The right person thinks creatively and enjoys creating order, solving problems, and supporting a well-organized household environment.

The position may occasionally involve light personal assistance and support with daily routines. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to changing needs with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the head of household to maintain smooth daily operations and organizational systems.
• Provide personal assistance and light caregiving support as needed, including help with daily routines, meal preparation, and ensuring supplies are stocked and accessible.
• Maintain household inventory and complete shopping or errands as requested.
• Clean and maintain household spaces, including bathrooms, kitchen appliances, refrigerator, etc. as needed to ensure a sanitary and organized environment.
• Anticipate household and personal needs, taking initiative to identify and address tasks proactively.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion in all aspects of the role.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent English proficiency in written and verbal communication
• Detail-oriented
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Commitment to personal growth and professional integrity
• Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance
• Up-to-date on routine vaccinations (COVID-19 and Flu) or willing to meet household requirements.
• Willing to follow household masking expectations.
• Comfortable working in a fragrance-free household environment.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in household management, personal assistance, administrative support, or chief of staff roles

Schedule

This role requires a consistent weekly foundation with some flexibility as needs shift throughout the month. Non-negotiable commitments include:

• 2-5 hours on most Wednesday and Thursday evenings
• Minimum of two weekends per month
• Some early morning hours on Mon and Fridays and occasional fill-in support as needed (starting in August)

The selected candidate will begin with a paid trial period to help ensure a good fit for both parties. Upon successful completion, the position may transition to a permanent role.
