Denver Metro Area | Approximately 3-Month 1099 Engagement | Potential Full-Time Opportunity

A Denver-based residential construction company is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Manager to support active projects throughout the Denver metropolitan area.

This is an independent contractor position expected to last approximately three months. Based on company needs, available workload, and performance, the contractor may be considered for a full-time W-2 Construction Manager position.

Compensation

Monthly contract compensation: $7,000–$10,000, depending on experience.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have at least three-five years of residential or multifamily construction management experience. Direct experience with Denver-area, permitting, inspections, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and ground-up vertical construction is strongly preferred.

This individual must be organized, self-motivated, reliable, and capable of independently managing daily construction activities across one or more active job sites.

This is an on-site position. Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable daily commuting distance of the Denver Metro Area.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities across assigned residential or multifamily job sites
• Coordinate subcontractors, trade partners, vendors, and construction personnel
• Manage project schedules, scopes of work, changes in scope, and construction timelines
• Monitor projects through completion while maintaining schedule and quality expectations
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
• Confirm that work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards
• Schedule and oversee municipal and city inspections
• Identify construction issues and coordinate timely corrective action
• Conduct preconstruction site reviews and trade-partner expectation meetings
• Coordinate site setup, erosion control, equipment, and project mobilization
• Maintain and enforce job-site safety requirements
• Provide clear and timely updates regarding schedules, delays, quality concerns, and project progress
• Assist with project closeout, punch-list completion, and final inspections

Qualifications

• Three-Five or more years of residential or multifamily construction management experience
• At least two years of construction experience within the City and County of Denver preferred
• Ground-up vertical construction experience from excavation and foundation through framing, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, drywall, finishes, and closeout
• Experience building in Denver, Aurora, and surrounding municipalities
• Ability to manage large or multiple active job sites
• Strong knowledge of Denver-area permitting and inspection processes
• Working knowledge of applicable residential building codes, including IRC and IECC requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to construction quality and job-site safety
• Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, or Asana preferred
