Part-Time Family Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Family Assistant to support an amazing family in Brier Creek. Mom is a warm, compassionate, and busy single mom working in the mental health sector. She has two children, ages 9 and 15, who are both starting back to school the second week of August.

This client primarily needs support with cooking and meal prep, running errands, and general household management tasks. Unlike a nanny role, the children will not be the main focus, although you will need to take them to Jiu Jitsu and Mondays and Wednesdays. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on a family's lives while maintaining an organized and nurturing home environment.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, empathetic, and experienced with cooking healthy, delicious meals and managing a household. This position is perfect for someone passionate about household support, looking to contribute their skills in a dynamic family setting.

The hours are somewhat flexible-client is open to shifting the hours, as long as the candidate can still support a short morning shift every other Saturday (to accomodate alternating custody arrangement. This will just be making sure the children are fed breakfast and lunch, then the client will return home from her short shift), and Monday and Wednesday evening jiu jitsu).

Duties

• Prepare nutritious, delicious meals and snacks tailored to family's taste
• Run errands, including grocery shopping and driving children to Jiu Jitsu
• Perform light household tasks including laundry, organizing supplies, and home maintenance tasks to ensure household is in good running order You will not be required to do heavy cleaning tasks, as client has a housekeeper do a weekly clean
• Keep track of household supplies and replenish as needed
• Prep grab-and-go food options, such as cut fruit, pretzel and hummus cups, etc

Experience

• Prior experience working hands-on in a private home
• Safe driver
• Demonstrated ability to perform residential housekeeping duties efficiently while maintaining a caring attitude
• Experience preparing healthy and delicious meals. Bonus if you are familiar with Brazilian, Italian and Portuguese cuisine!
• "Can-do" attitude and desire to support the smooth daily operations of a household and take tasks off the clients plate
