Assistant Property Manager - Fast Track to Asset Management (up to 100k first year)

The Opportunity

We are hiring an Assistant Property Manager to serve as our primary operational contact on the ground in Columbus, OH.

You are not expected to be the head property manager on Day 1. We are looking for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves and absorb the trade quickly. You will have full access to deep operational expertise around you on the ground in Columbus, combined with direct, daily mentorship from our core executive and Asset Management team in NYC.

This is a high-visibility, fast-paced launchpad designed for an ambitious, dynamic professional who wants to learn institutional real estate operations from the inside out and fast-track their career into lead Property Management or Asset Management.

What You’ll Do

• Learn & Execute: Master ground-level property operations by collaborating closely with local Columbus industry experts and applying Normandy’s NYC operational playbook.
• On-the-Ground Presence: Serve as the operational eyes and ears in Columbus—coordinating vendor execution (contractors, maintenance, capital projects) and maintaining physical property standards.
• Asset Management Collaboration: Interface daily with Normandy’s NYC Asset Management team, providing real-time reporting on property conditions, tenant feedback, and budget execution.
• Tenant & Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with residents and vendors, taking ownership of day-to-day operational requests and resolving friction quickly.

Who You Are

• 2 to 4 Years of Real-World Operational Experience: Backgrounds in hospitality, logistics, project coordination, customer operations, or property management are all welcome. Prior real estate experience is NOT required.
• High Learning Velocity: You don't need to know everything on day one, but you must digest context fast, ask sharp questions, and leverage the team around you to get up to speed rapidly.
• Grit & Ownership: You deliver on what is asked of you, work hard, and take pride in seeing tasks through to completion. When a problem arises, you own the solution.
• Dynamism & Adaptability: You bring energy, resourcefulness, and composure to fast-changing operational environments.
• Crisp Communication: Strong written and verbal skills when dealing with local contractors, tenants, and NYC leadership.
