ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Breakfast Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role located in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for preparing bagels, breakfast sandwiches, eggs, and other breakfast items to order while following standardized recipes and portion guidelines.

Day-to-day tasks include setting up and breaking down the line, managing food prep, cooking items to order, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and keeping the work area clean and organized. The Breakfast Line Cook works closely with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure timely service, accurate orders, and consistent product quality during peak morning hours.

The role may also involve assisting with inventory rotation, restocking ingredients, and supporting special menu items or seasonal offerings as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess high volume cooking skills, including experience working a breakfast or short-order line and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment (grill, flat-top, oven).
• Candidates should possess food safety and sanitation knowledge, with the ability to follow health codes, safe food handling procedures, and cleaning routines.
• Candidates should possess strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple orders at once and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members calmly under pressure.
• Candidates should possess reliability and customer-focused professionalism, including consistent punctuality, a positive attitude, and attention to order accuracy and presentation.
• Previous experience as a line cook, breakfast cook, or in a similar food service role is preferred; a valid food handler or ServSafe certification is a plus.
