The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining analytics solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization, working closely with business partners to gather requirements and create dashboards and reports.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and visualize trends or patterns in complex data sets to support business decisions
- Perform data quality reviews and data assessments to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
- Generate ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders and external clients under tight deadlines
- Design, develop, deploy, and manage Power BI/Tableau datasets, dashboards, and paginated reports
- Build effective, user-friendly visualizations that meet business requirements and align with reporting standards
- Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions to improve performance, usability, and data accuracy
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from enterprise data systems
- Build, maintain, and enhance SQL Server stored procedures to support automated reporting and data pipelines
- Enhance and troubleshoot existing SQL queries and database logic to improve performance and reliability
- Collaborate with business partners across departments to capture reporting requirements, clarify data needs, and design effective BI solutions
- Serve as a key technical liaison between business teams, IT, and data stakeholders
- Interact with client contacts regularly to deliver reporting, understand needs, and provide support
- Develop and maintain SharePoint and Smartsheet solutions used for workflow management, collaboration, and data consolidation
- Ensure data governance standards, documentation, and best practices are adhered to across BI assets
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including stored procedure development
- 3-5 Years of Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI visualization tools
- Ability to analyze large and complex data sets
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data models
- Strong background in data modeling, DAX/MDX, or equivalent analytics languages
- Strong communication skills, with experience gathering and translating business requirements
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail
- Technical proficiency in BI and database tools

- Salesforce experience is strongly preferred

- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric's end-to-end analytics capabilities, including integration with Power BI and OneLake
- Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders
- Understanding of data governance, metadata, and data quality best practices
- Hands-on experience with Python frameworks or libraries
