Job Overview

Café 8848 is looking for friendly, dependable, and enthusiastic full-time Baristas to join our growing team! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, love coffee, and take pride in providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to meet you.

As a Barista, you'll prepare handcrafted coffee beverages, smoothies, refreshers, and food items while creating a welcoming experience for every customer. You'll also help keep the café clean, organized, and running smoothly throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve Café 8848 beverages according to our recipes and quality standards.
• Make espresso drinks, smoothies, refreshers, teas, and other specialty beverages.
• Prepare and serve food items while following proper food safety procedures.
• Operate the Clover POS system to accurately process customer orders and payments.
• Greet customers with a friendly attitude and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including daily cleaning and checklist tasks.
• Work efficiently during busy hours while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Support teammates and help create a positive work environment.
• Open or close the café independently when scheduled.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or espresso machine experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
• Passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling payments.
• Experience with a POS system is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed.
• Knowledge of food safety and beverage preparation is an asset.
