Social Media Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

The Social Media Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's social media presence, ensuring timely content creation, publishing, and community engagement across all brand channels. This role develops and executes social media strategies designed to strengthen brand awareness, foster meaningful audience engagement, and support business objectives.

The Social Media Manager also analyzes performance data and trends to optimize content strategy and campaign effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the organization's brand presence, visibility, and engagement across all social media platforms
• Manage the planning, scheduling, and publication of social media content across all brand channels
• Develop content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, and company initiatives
• Ensure comments, direct messages, and community interactions across organic and paid social channels are addressed in accordance with brand standards
• Oversee content capture at company events, educational programs, and other key initiatives to ensure high quality, real time coverage
• Partner with internal teams and external creative partners to produce compelling, on brand content
• Drive community growth through engagement strategies and audience development initiatives
• Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, best practices, and new technologies
• Prepare regular reporting on audience growth, engagement, and channel performance for leadership
• Support employer branding by highlighting company culture, events, and team initiatives across social platforms
• Collaborate with partnership and influencer teams to maximize campaign reach and audience engagement
• Develop data driven social media strategies and channel optimization plans that improve overall content performance

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and other major social media platforms
• Ability to capture, edit, and publish high quality mobile content in real time using an iPhone or similar device
• Strong experience managing editorial and content calendars
• Ability to develop and optimize social content that drives engagement and business results
• Strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience behavior, and social media best practices
• Experience analyzing social media performance metrics and using insights to improve strategy
• Knowledge of photography and videography principles with the ability to provide creative direction and feedback
• Graphic design and copywriting experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience managing social media for a brand or organization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
• Ability to stand and move throughout the day during events and content capture
• Ability to travel up to 20%
