Sr. Finance Manager

Title: Senior Finance Manager / FP&A

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Employment Type: Full‑Time

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid)

Compensation

$140,000-$180,000 + bonus potential

Position Overview

This Senior Finance Manager role serves as the CFO's primary financial partner and plays a critical role in capital planning, financial modeling, compliance support, and executive‑level reporting. The position owns the FP&A function and works closely with Operations, General Managers, and senior leadership in a regulated, capital‑intensive environment.

This is a senior individual‑contributor role requiring comfort with ambiguity, limited direction, and building financial frameworks from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, tracking, and financial modeling
• Translate operational CapEx initiatives into financially compliant plans
• Partner closely with VP of Operations and site General Managers
• Develop advanced financial models and scenario analysis
• Prepare executive and Board‑level reporting deliverables
• Support regulatory compliance and audit readiness related to capital programs
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis for senior leadership
• Improve finance processes, controls, and scalability

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of progressive finance or FP&A experience
• Deep CapEx planning and modeling expertise
• Strong Excel skills (true financial analytics required)
• Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI
• Comfortable working with limited structure and high ambiguity
• Strong executive presence and communication skills

Preferred

• Utility, infrastructure, energy, or regulated industry experience
• Private equity‑backed environment exposure
• ERP experience (Sage Intacct or similar)
