We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient Pain Management practice in Phoenix, Arizona. In this collaborative role, you will work closely with physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions.
The ideal candidate is a patient-focused provider with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering evidence-based, multidisciplinary pain management. Perform comprehensive evaluations for new and established patients, including medical histories and physical examinations.
Diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
Provide ongoing follow-up care and monitor patient progress throughout treatment.
Manage opioid and non-opioid medication therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Monitor treatment effectiveness, adverse reactions, and compliance with prescribed medications.
Utilize the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) and follow controlled substance prescribing protocols.
Educate patients on medication safety, proper usage, and expectations for pain management.
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic imaging, laboratory studies, and other clinical tests relevant to pain management.
Integrate diagnostic findings into individualized treatment plans.

Collaborate with physicians to ensure safe and effective procedural care within the provider's scope of practice.
Educate patients on treatment options, pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physical therapy, behavioral health providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
Promote patient engagement and shared decision-making throughout the care process.
Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, patient-centered clinical environment.
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the applicable state.
Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current DEA registration or the ability to obtain one.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Previous experience in pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), orthopedics, neurology, spine care, or interventional pain management.
Experience managing chronic pain patients and controlled substance prescribing.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMP).
Knowledge of interventional pain procedures and multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
