Based in the UAE, we specialize in self-hosted applications with a focus on security, customization, and data privacy. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, scalable systems that empower clients with full control over their operations.

We are expanding our IT team and seeking a skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to safeguard our infrastructure and support our growing portfolio of secure software products and lead a team of five other Network Security Engineers.

Job Summary

As a Senior Network Security Engineer at Anunzio International FZC, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network systems to protect our internal operations and client-facing applications. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to ensure robust cybersecurity measures, compliance with UAE regulations, and proactive threat mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols to protect company and client data.
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies, perform vulnerability assessments, and conduct penetration testing using industry-standard tools.
• Develop and implement incident response plans, including threat hunting, forensics, and recovery procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE cybersecurity standards (e.g., NESA, TRA guidelines) and international best practices (e.g., ISO 27001). Collaborate with software engineers to integrate security into web applications, databases, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, G-Cloud). Maintain and update security policies, access controls, and multi-factor authentication systems.
• Provide regular reports on security metrics, emerging threats, and recommendations for improvements.
• Conduct security awareness training for staff and assist in audits and certifications.
• Support the integration of secure features in our software products, such as self-hosted systems with no backdoors.
• Stay ahead of evolving threats by monitoring dark web intelligence and participating in industry threat-sharing communities.
• Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 13 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, preferably in high-security environments like finance, healthcare, or government sectors.
• Demonstrated proficiency with advanced tools such as Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls, Cisco ISE, SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk or ELK Stack), Wireshark for deep packet analysis, Nessus/Tenable for vulnerability management, and EDR solutions like CrowdStrike. Mandatory certifications: CISSP, CCNP Security, and CEH; additional certifications like OSCP, CISM, or GIAC (e.g., GCIH) strongly preferred.
• Expert knowledge of network protocols, advanced encryption techniques (e.g., post-quantum cryptography), zero-trust implementations, and cloud-native security (e.g., AWS Guard
• Duty, Azure Sentinel). Proven experience with UAE-specific regulatory compliance and handling incidents in a multicultural, regulated environment.
• Strong programming/scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating security tasks and custom tool development.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing high-impact security incidents independently.
• Excellent communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder interactions; fluency in English required, Arabic highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Threat

• Background in secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
• Prior work in the UAE tech sector or with self-hosted enterprise solutions.
• Proven expertise with tools like Cisco ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk), Wireshark, Nessus, and VPN technologies.
• Certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, or Comp
