Experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support enterprise network infrastructure across both on-premises datacenters and the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining network security, connectivity, wireless network solutions performance, and availability while supporting hybrid cloud deployments and business-critical applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- On-Premises Network Management
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and datacentre network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure high availability.
- Implement network security policies, access controls, and segmentation.
- Manage network documentation, IP addressing schemes, and topology diagrams.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
- Azure Cloud Networking
- Design and manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, NSGs, Route Tables, and DNSConfigure and support Azure VPN Gateway, Express
- Route, Azure Firewall, and Load Balancers.
- Implement hybrid connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure.
- Monitor and optimize Azure network performance, security, and costs.
- Support cloud migration projects and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Implement network security controls using Azure-native services
- Security & Compliance
- Manage firewall policies and network security controls.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediate network-related risks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support security audits and incident response activities
- Monitoring & Operations
- Utilize network monitoring and management tools for proactive issue detection.
- Perform root cause analysis for network incidents and outages.
- Manage firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of network devices.
- Prepare operational reports and capacity planning recommendations.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:Networking
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, and QoS.Experience with enterprise networking solutions from vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Azure Cloud
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking services.
- Experience with Azure Virtual WAN, Express
- Route, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, NSGs, & Load Balancer.
- Understanding of hybrid cloud networking and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is preferred.
- Operating Systems & Tools
- Windows Server and Linux administration knowledge.
- Network monitoring tools such as Solar
- Winds, PRTG, Manage
- Engine, or equivalent.
- PowerShell and scripting skills for automation.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:Bachelor in Computer Science & Engineering or any Engineering in Electronics/Communications.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Fortinet NSEMicrosoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:5+ years of networking experience with at least 2+ years supporting Azure cloud environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Azure networking, firewalls, VPNs, cloud migrations, and network security.
