Home Chef/Private Chef job

An esteemed Emirati family based in Ajman is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Private Chef / Home Chef to join their household on a long-term, full-time basis.

This is a key role within a private residence, responsible for delivering daily culinary excellence, ensuring nutritional balance, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, organization, and kitchen management.

The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient culinary professional with strong experience in private households, capable of independently managing all aspects of meal planning, preparation, and kitchen operations while adapting to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

Daily Meal Preparation

• Prepare daily meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for a small family household.
• Provide additional meals for household staff as scheduled.
• Prepare meals for visiting family members and private gatherings when required.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and nutritional balance across all dishes.

Menu Planning & Dietary Management

• Design weekly menus aligned with family preferences and dietary guidelines (no pork, no alcohol).
• Focus on healthy, balanced, and varied cuisine.
• Adapt menus for special occasions, guests, and events.

Kitchen Operations & Hygiene

• Maintain a spotless, well-organized, and fully compliant kitchen environment.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Oversee proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food items.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Manage pantry, refrigerator, and freezer stock using FIFO principles.
• Monitor expiry dates and food quality.
• Handle grocery shopping, budgeting, and supplier coordination.
• Track expenses and maintain accurate records of purchases and monthly costs.

Household Coordination

• Coordinate with household staff and drivers for logistics between Ajman residence and Umm Al Quwain farm.
• Support smooth kitchen operations during family stays and events.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Private Chef or Home Chef in a private household.
• Strong expertise in Arabic, Emirati, and international cuisine, with a focus on healthy cooking.
• Proven skills in menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management.
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen organization standards.
• Highly independent, reliable, and capable of managing daily operations without supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional, discreet, and respectful of private household environments.
• Flexible and willing to work weekends, holidays, and during family events.
• Preference may be given to male candidates.

Working Conditions

• Position: Private Chef / Home Chef
• Location: Ajman, UAE (with travel to Umm Al Quwain farm)
• Accommodation: Private studio accommodation provided (live-in)
• Schedule: 6 days per week, 1 day off (flexibility required for events with compensatory rest)
• Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible
• Visa & Benefits: UAE work visa, medical insurance, annual return flight ticket provided
