Our client is a diversified UAE-based group with interests across real estate, construction, retail and hospitality. The group owns and operates a growing hospitality portfolio comprising luxury and mid-scale hotels, resorts and leisure assets in Ras Al Khaimah.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Manager Hospitality to oversee portfolio performance, maximize asset value and drive long-term returns across their hospitality assets.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will act as the owner-side representative for the hospitality portfolio, working closely with hotel operators, General Managers, consultants and senior leadership to improve financial performance, optimize capital deployment and identify value-enhancement opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Use hotel management input, industry analysis/benchmarking, accounting, hotel financial analysis and computer modeling fundamentals to analyze hotel operations, business plans, capital investments, sales & marketing plans and strategic alternatives;
- Formulate and make recommendations to the Executive Committee for short and long-term strategic plans for the hotel assets;
- Keep current on all markets affecting the hospitality industry and specifically the markets in which the assets are situated, including supply and demand changes and trends;
- Examine and monitor the operating performance of the assets to ensure the return on investment in each asset is maximized;
- Meet with hotel executive teams to review monthly & quarterly operating performance, annual business plans and longer-term strategic plans;
- Proactively identify and resolve ownership issues to maintain the integrity of the assets;
- Ensure the effective deployment of capital by working with the hotel teams and third-party technical services consultants to execute and monitor each hotel's short and long-term capital plans;
- Prepare investment summaries and make recommendations for major hotel expenditures;
- Analyze and track of return on investment for the assets as well as profit improving projects, either implemented or proposed;
- Identify value enhancement opportunities within the portfolio; and Provide input to monthly, quarterly and annual internal reports to the Executive Committee for all assets in the designated portfolio.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Finance, Business or a related discipline; an MBA in Finance or relevant professional qualification would be advantageous. 8 10 years of hospitality experience, including at least 3 5 years in hospitality asset management, portfolio management, owner advisory or a similar role.
- Experience managing or advising on multiple hotel assets, ideally across luxury, mid-scale and leisure-oriented properties.
- Strong experience in hotel financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, portfolio strategy and long-term business planning.
- Exposure to hotel operations, hotel finance, hospitality investments, valuations, advisory or consulting will be highly relevant.
- Demonstrated experience working with hotel operators, General Managers, senior management and board-level stakeholders.
- Prior involvement in hotel management agreement negotiations, operator reviews, renewals or commercial discussions is essential.
- Experience evaluating capital projects, refurbishment programmes, capex plans and investment returns.
- GCC hospitality market exposure is required.
