Skills Provision is searching for a Senior Procurement Officer for a construction company in Saudi Arabia.

Salary

A monthly salary package of 15,000 SAR, Tax-Free.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

• Identify and source qualified suppliers, vendors, and contractors for project-related materials and services.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalise procurement contracts to secure favourable terms.
• Ensure all purchased items meet required quality standards, technical specifications, and delivery timelines.

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and consistency.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to assess performance, compliance, and suitability.
• Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, or payment to maintain uninterrupted operations.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure full adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery documentation.
• Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Cost Control and Budgeting

• Monitor procurement expenditures to ensure alignment with approved project budgets.
• Identify cost saving opportunities through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure timely processing and payment of supplier invoices.

Coordination and Communication

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand procurement requirements and timelines.
• Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on purchase order status and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure proper receipt, inspection, and storage of materials.

Market Research and Trend Analysis

• Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing trends, material availability, and industry developments.
• Identify new suppliers or alternative materials to optimise project outcomes.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of procurement experience, within the construction or real estate sector.
• Previous experience in the Saudi market is mandatory.

Skills

• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and procurement best practices.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
