Job Description

Dimensions Berth Engineering is seeking an expert Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our technical team located at the strategic maritime hub of Port Sultan Qaboos. This role is critical in driving the development and management of our subsurface assets, requiring a specialist who can combine advanced numerical simulation with practical field development strategies.

You will lead technical studies to optimize recovery factors, manage reservoir uncertainty, and provide high-level recommendations for capital investment. With a premier monthly salary of OMR 4,000, this position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering excellence and Oman’s vital maritime and energy logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Reservoir Simulation: Lead the development, history matching, and maintenance of complex 3D dynamic reservoir models to predict future field performance.
• Asset Optimization: Formulate comprehensive field development plans (FDP) and identify opportunities for infill drilling, workovers, and EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) applications.
• Production Forecasting: Provide robust short-term and long-term production forecasts to support business planning and commercial evaluations.
• Pressure & Fluid Analysis: Conduct detailed PVT analysis and pressure transient analysis (PTA) to characterize reservoir behavior and connectivity.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with Geologists, Petrophysicists, and Drilling Engineers to integrate subsurface data and mitigate geological risks.
• Reporting: Present technical findings and reserve estimations to executive management and regulatory bodies in line with international standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related Geoscience discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a proven track record in both greenfield and brownfield assets.
• Technical Software: Mastery of industry-standard tools such as Petrel RE, Eclipse, tNavigator, and Kappa (Saphir/Topaze).
• Skills: Expert knowledge of Material Balance, Decline Curve Analysis (DCA), and uncertainty quantification.
• Location: Must be able to work on-site at our facilities in Port Sultan Qaboos, Muscat.
