Inside Sales Representative (Distribution) (Central)

Job Responsibilities

• Process orders received through email and phone, verify and input items, transfer orders to fulfillment, and provide information on stock availability and delivery timelines.
• Boost order volume by recommending related items, explaining product features, and reviewing the customer’s purchase history.
• Manage, qualify, and expand opportunities from marketing, external sales, and national accounts.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on verbal or written quotes to secure orders or understand reasons for lost orders.
• Monitor open customer orders, address pending items, and take action on those at risk of missing promised delivery dates.
• Maintain backorder reports, track customer expediting requests, and provide notifications as needed.
• Share insights with management on industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback.

JobRequirements

• Degree holder
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience working in distribution industry will have added advantageous
• Proficient in MS Applications
