Outbound Sales Development Representative

As we continue to expand, we're looking for a motivated Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to identify and engage prospective merchants, generate qualified sales opportunities, and fuel our sales pipeline.

What You'll Do

• Proactively identify and engage prospective SME merchants through cold calls, emails, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline by prospecting across industries such as F&B, Retail, Beauty, Healthcare, Services, and more.
• Understand merchants' business operations, challenges, and payment needs.
• Introduce EPOS' POS systems, payment solutions, and value-added services to prospective customers.
• Qualify leads based on predefined sales criteria and schedule meetings or product demonstrations for the Merchant Acquisition team.
• Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities in the CRM system.
• Follow up consistently with prospects to nurture opportunities and drive engagement.
• Collaborate with Marketing on outbound campaigns and account-based initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience selling POS systems, fintech, SaaS, payment solutions, or merchant services.
• Experience engaging SME business owners and decision-makers.
• Knowledge of digital payments, QR payments, card acquiring, or merchant acquiring.
• Ability to speak additional languages (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil) to better engage a diverse merchant base.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, Telemarketing, or B2B Sales.
• Experience in outbound prospecting or cold calling is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and handling objections professionally.
• Highly self-motivated, resilient, and target-oriented.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.) is an advantage.
