Human Resources Business Partner - Leading Global Law Firm

Job Summary

As an HR Business Partner, you will work closely with Partners, senior stakeholders, and the management team to deliver HR support across the full employee lifecycle. This is an HR generalist role covering employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning and development, and workforce planning, while supporting the strategic thinking behind talent and people decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive workforce planning, recruitment, talent management, and the strategic growth of teams.
• Manage employee relations matters and provide guidance on sensitive and confidential people issues.
• Lead performance review cycles, succession planning, career development, and Learning & Development initiatives.
• Coach and support Partners and senior leaders on performance management, employee development, and HR best practices.
• Advise on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams across recruitment, HR operations, compensation, and employee engagement.
• Drive HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, and the overall employee experience.
• Analyse HR metrics and workforce trends to provide insights that support business and talent decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
• 7–12 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR Generalist role within a professional services environment. Prior experience in a law firm is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience working with Partners and senior management and advising leadership on strategic HR matters.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, talent management, organisational development, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Confident and credible, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organised, committed, and driven, with excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives as an independent contributor while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
