Legal Counsel

This is an opportunity to become the first dedicated Legal Counsel within the Singapore business of a well-established international maritime organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional seeking a broad in-house role with genuine regional exposure, close interaction with senior management and the opportunity to build and shape the legal and governance function within the Singapore business.

Working closely with senior management, you'll play a key role in strengthening legal, governance and compliance practices across Singapore and India. Beyond providing legal advice and commercial contract support, you'll have the opportunity to shape policies, influence governance initiatives and help build the legal framework of a growing regional business.

Key Requirements

• Qualified lawyer admitted to the Singapore Bar or UK Bar with relevant experience.
• Proven in-house legal experience within an operating business.
• Experience advising on commercial contracts, corporate governance and compliance.
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing governance frameworks, including Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing and Sanctions Compliance.
• Experience within the maritime or broader transportation industry will be highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across regional teams.
