An established multinational chemical manufacturing company is seeking an Operations Engineer to support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational coordination. This is an excellent opportunity to transition into a commercially focused role while leveraging your technical or plant manufacturing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual budgets, forecasts, P&L projections, and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
• Analyse operational and financial performance, providing meaningful insights to management.
• Coordinate monthly management reporting and business performance reviews.
• Compile, analyse, and maintain historical operational and financial data for planning purposes.
• Prepare Board papers, management reports, and presentation materials for senior leadership.
• Monitor supply planning and pricing information to support production planning and cost optimisation.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with operations, commercial, finance, and corporate teams.
• Liaise with government agencies, external partners, and internal stakeholders on business planning and coordination matters.
• Drive continuous process improvements by leveraging digital solutions and AI tools to enhance reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Support ad-hoc business planning and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in chemical operations with strong analytical skills interested in moving into a planning, budgeting, and business coordination role.
• Finance or Accounting professionals with at least 2 years of experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis within a chemical manufacturing plant environment are welcome to apply
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or business planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be advantageous.
